Well, it's billed with "4-Motion", and is good for about 190-200mph, so it probably is turboed, I'm sure I have it somewhere, just may take while to find..... If you remember the Tuning Cars mod, it is as fast as anything in that mod..........I'll take a look.........

Turboed and Bi-Turboed, does DS-Racing ring a bell?, because I don't think this is the one you're looking for, it only comes with 3 cars.........

Here's another 200mpg Golf 1, by GTI-Heizer.......has 3 classes.........

i did all steps and i see the car in the race menù/delear but when i start a race at last loading the game crash.. why?

No one can tell you except for a WAG (wild-ass guess) until you show us a trace file. That generally gives a pretty good clue as to what's wrong.

I will go out on a limb and venture you haven't got the stex.gtr and talent.gtr files in the GTL Ferrari 512 folder (copied and pasted from GTR2 to the GTL Ferrari folder) from a GTR2 install. I'm also assuming you're talking about the Ferrari 512 for GTR2 you've found somewhere?

There was an error in loading info for the Nissan R35 in the .cas file. The mesh file 'R35_CHASSIS1.GMT' couldn't be loaded.

Since I don't have the mod, I can't tell you what should be changed. Perhaps someone else with better knowledge will give a helping hand\advice.

If you're working on a converted GTR2 mod (to GTL), you need the STEX.GTR and TALENT.GTR files, not "STEX.GTL and TALENT.GTL". This is provided you don't change the MASFILE=STEX.GTR and the MASFILE=TALENT.GTR below:

MASFILE=LAMBORGHINI_MURCIELAGO_OBJ.GTL
MASFILE=LAMBORGHINI_MURCIELAGO_TEX.GTL
MASFILE=LAMBORGHINI_MURCIELAGO_STYLE1_CPIT.GTL
MASFILE=LAMBORGHINI_MURCIELAGO_CPIT.GTL
MASFILE=LAMBORGHINI_MURCIELAGO_WHEELS.GTL
MASFILE=STEX.GTR
MASFILE=TALENT.GTR

To repeat, the above 7 lines are what is done on a typical conversion and is correct.

But you need the two files (stex.gtr and talent.gtr) placed in the car folder which is being converted to GTL, else the convert will crash to desktop. Provided that's all you failed to do...

Ideally, yes. But you can attempt to rename the two files from .GTL to .GTR; Windows will ask you if you want to do that - just say yes...

All that's left is to try it in-game, providing that the two .GTR files mis-named was the only problem.

i already tried to do that but ... with .GTR format only,  all standard game cars crash too.

now i will try to put both .GTL and .GTR

MOF said... There was an error in loading info for the Nissan R35 in the .cas file. The mesh file 'R35_CHASSIS1.GMT' couldn't be loaded.

Even if you do get those other files sorted you will still need to see why that is occurring!!

Personally, I think you may have renamed some GTR2 files to GTL in the main folder but didn't rename them in the .CAS file. A simple and easily looked mistake to make.

I have the GTR2 mod in front of me and there is not an R35_CHASSIS1.GMT defined in the original R35.CAS file.

The definition in the original R35.CAS file is :
MeshFile=R35_CHASSIS<1>_A.gmt  etc....

I have had a look in the R35.GTR file and there are 2 different chassis files named :

R35_CHASSIS1_A.GMT
R35_CHASSIS2_A.GMT

Also checking the car files for the genstring value I find that cars 08035_R35 - 08043_R35 use R35_CHASSIS1_A.GMT and cars 08044_R35 & 08044_R35 use  R35_CHASSIS2_A.GMT.

If you changed the CAS entry to read :
MeshFile=R35_CHASSIS1.gmt etc..., without renaming either the R35_CHASSIS1_A.GMT or R25_CHASSIS2_A.GMT to R35_CHASSIS1.GMT, this would account for your trace file error.

Of course I am guessing here but it looks like a mismatch between CAS definition and filename of meshfile.

Unless you have renamed one of those chassis gmt's, the mod doesn't have a file called R35_CHASSIS1.GMT.

Have you renamed any of the .GMT files found in the .GTR files ?

I've had another look and there is an error in the CAS file.

change this line :

 <LOW>    MeshFile=R35_chassis<1>.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(30.0) LODOut=(400.0)

To this :

 <LOW>    MeshFile=R35_chassis<1>_A.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(30.0) LODOut=(400.0)

I have a feeling this may fix it Smile

I have just converted the car to GTL and it works fine.
It looks ridiculously huge compared to the F1-67 cars though Laughing

EDIT: You may still have problems with the STEX.GTL and TALENT.GTL but this should fix the error you are currently seeing in your trace file.

I have GTR2 and have had STEX.GTR and TALENT.GTR in my GTL\gamedata\teams folder for years so in the CAS of any cars I convert from GTR2, I leave the MAS entries as STEX.GTR and TALENT.GTR.

Did you check out what I said further up the thread??

@ Damys. MOF said... [color=#ff9933]There was an error in loading info for the Nissan R35 in the .cas file. The mesh file 'R35_CHASSIS1.GMT' couldn't be loaded.[/color] Even if you do get those other files sorted you will still need to see why that is occurring!! Personally, I think you may have renamed some GTR2 files to GTL in the main folder but didn't rename them in the .CAS file. A simple and easily looked mistake to make. Gee cheers wrote:

Unfortunately mate, that error is due to you not having the talent.gtr file from GTR2.

What you can try is in the R35.CAS file remove these lines :

i tried but nothing is changed . the trace file gived me that.. there is an error loading the driver.. i also tried to delete the GTR's Tex and Talent.

for the .Cas problem i renamed all in GTL ..i don't know what else to rename.

i'm going crazy with this problem Sad

It looks like you still have a reference to EXT_DRIVER_STYLE<34>.gmt in your CAS file otherwise you wouldn't get that error.

Does your GTRR35 folder have these files in it ?

R35.HDC
R35.SP
R35.TYR
R35_CPIT.GTL

now works good :Dthanks to all guys for the help : )

so the problem was in the .CAS file and with the STEX.gtr and Talent.gtr because they aren't in my GTL teams folder...BTW i have to ask to a friend he have GTR2 and i want to make a test with these 2 files and put them in the teams folder to have "STEX.gtr and Talent.gtr" plus "STEX.gtl and Talent.gtl"
and see if is more easy now convert.

UPDATE: i download a mod "GTR2 cars in GTL " this mod have the STEX.GTR and TALENT.GTR i placed these files in team and now works good ..also the pilot in the car.. tested right now with the murcielago.
