 '70 Nordschleife crashes on 3rd or 4rth lap!

Okay, I figured I'd ask here as I know there's fans of this track here. I looked at NoGrip in the track's download area and no one mentions it. I've tried the different versions, even replaced it with the one from the Altbierbude but no luck so.....


When I do a race here, with AI, the game crashes on the 3rd or 4rth lap. It seems to be r3elated to when the AI cars pit as when they start pitting, that's the lap the game crashes on as I go by the pits. Am I the only one this has happened to? Does ANYONE have an idea why?

I really like this track but so far haven't been able to do a race on it.

I give up. I as I said, replaced it with the 'Bude's version, and cleared the HAT and this time it crashed on the first lap. Well, a6t least we have '75 as it doesn't do it.

Me either which is why I ask. maybe the number of cars too high? (30-33 usually). it's frustrating too because of course at over 10 minutes a lap (TC 65 lol) I get tired of it after a while.

Had the same problem with Spa67, only that sometimes ! I mean, on a race I've managed to do 5 laps, on some other race managed to do 40 laps..... 'til CTD.

Pretty much always around 3 or 4 in 5 lap race. I got the impression this last time when on first lap some AI cars had pitted (?) and again as I was coming up to the pits on track.

I had the same problem with the brand new Halle-Saale-Schleife, with 30 cars.
Two times at the beginning of the second lap.
And yes, it could be when an AI car comes in the pits.
I will do further testing.

Just tested, ctd during second lap on both test runs..........I'm going to try it on my bone stock GTL test install and see if that makes any difference......

Yeah. I just did a 9 lap run on Halle and no problem. many tracks, I get a problem, i can delete them and live with it, but I REALLY like '70 Nordscheiife!!

Just ran a 5 lapper on the stock install, no problems.........It would take a long time to weed out the "bad" cars(s) on the modified installs........try a stock TC-65 class or something if you still have one.....

Yeah, I wonder why it'd cause it though? as even with cartool, it does it. Maybe I'll try my spare clean install when i get a chance. Thanks.

Hello mates,

I tried again Halle-Saale-Schleife : 10 cars (Opel Commodore), and no pit : ok !
Another try, with 3 cars in pit during the race, and all was ok Suspect
So yes, it would be then a "bad" car ???
I will try with only "stock" cars.

Hi Den.

From your trace you have a problem with a car when it is trying to pit,
this line- "CorneringAdd" normally means the game has an issue with wheels, ie:
wrong genstring Number, .gmt or .dds files missing..

Try looking at the- petrolheads abarth as that was last to load..

Well, that skin is just a default genstring and simple skin. It seems to make no difference what cars I use as it happens EVERY race.

Anyways, I'm just using the '75 version instead and it works fine.

Another thought: If the problem is with pitting, what about temporarily pulling the animation file (.ani) out of the track's directory and trying a run without it? Pit crews would be an animation, right?
